1. Scope & acceptance

These Terms of Use govern the use of the website peri-wise.app and the PeriWise mobile application, published under the Siyaya Digital brand by IP Strategy UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Niederrheinstraße 46f, 41472 Neuss, Germany ("we", "us").

By accessing this website or downloading and using PeriWise, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our products. The general Siyaya Digital Terms of Use at siyaya-digital.com/terms also apply; where the two conflict, these app-specific terms take precedence.

2. What PeriWise is — and is not

PeriWise is a self-observation journal for the perimenopause and menopause years: you can record symptoms, view patterns and trends in what you recorded, and generate reports to discuss with your doctor.

PeriWise is not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) and provides no medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent or predict any disease or condition. The insights it shows are simple, rule-based observations of the data you entered — nothing more. Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of anything shown in the app or on this website; always consult a qualified healthcare professional about symptoms, treatment and health decisions.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use PeriWise on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app; copy, modify or create derivative works of it; use it for commercial purposes without our written permission; or redistribute or resell it.

4. Subscription & pricing

PeriWise is free to download and explore. Using the app — logging symptoms and adding data — requires one auto-renewing monthly subscription (currently €1.49/month) that unlocks everything; there are no feature tiers. The exact price is always shown in the App Store before purchase.

The subscription renews monthly until cancelled and can be cancelled anytime in your Apple account settings (iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices are final at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to change prices for new subscribers at any time.

5. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds ourselves and have no access to your payment information.

6. Your data & your responsibility to back up

PeriWise stores your health data exclusively on your device, encrypted; we operate no servers for it and cannot access, restore or recover it. The database is deliberately excluded from iCloud and device backups. This is the app's core privacy promise, and it has a consequence you accept by using the app: if your device is lost, damaged or reset without a prior export, your data is irretrievably gone. 7. This website

The content on peri-wise.app is provided for informational purposes only. We make no warranty that the website will be available at all times or free of errors, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice.

The "Things That Helped" page contains Amazon affiliate links, identified as such there. Listed products are suggestions from our community, not our products; we do not test or endorse them, and any purchase is a contract between you and the respective seller under that seller's terms.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website and within PeriWise — text, design, graphics, logos, icons, illustrations and code — is the property of IP Strategy UG or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from it without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

PeriWise and this website are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with all devices, or that defects will be corrected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IP Strategy UG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of PeriWise or this website — including the loss of locally stored data (see section 6). Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for PeriWise in the twelve months preceding the claim; if you paid nothing, our liability is limited to €1. Mandatory statutory liability — including for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health — remains unaffected.

11. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction for disputes is Neuss, Germany, to the extent permitted by law; mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.

EU online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the current version is always available at peri-wise.app/terms with its effective date above. Continued use of the app or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
